MARTELL SINGLE ESTATE DOMAINE DE CHARBONNIERE COGNAC 40% 700ML

Product Description
The Martell Single Estate Collection is an invitation to explore the Cognac region in all its fascinating diversity. It offers a selection of outstanding cognacs, each produced in limited quantities not only from a single cru, but by a single domain. This prestigious collection also highlights another dimension of Maison Martell’s celebrated savoir-faire: its unrivalled knowledge of the terroir and close relationships with winegrowers.

The Charbonnière estate, a Martell property, is situated in the prestigious Borderies growth near the village of Cherves-Richemont. The vineyards lie on fertile land that was once marshes. Their deep, heavy clay soils are cool and damp, producing eaux-de-vie whose rare aromatic complexity is underpinned by subtle fruit notes from the presence of limestone.

The Martell Cellar Master selected a single, remarkable eau-de-vie that reveals the extraordinary character and richness of this terroir, which has been the signature of Maison Martell since it was founded. This cognac takes the delicacy and elegance of the iconic Martell Cordon Bleu to new heights. Its exceptional roundness, freshness and finesse, with distinctive notes of fruit and flowers, represent the quintessence of the Martell style.

The Aroma
Beginning with a complex fusion of plum, peach and candied lemon, with delicate hints of vanilla and clove. On swirling the glass, gingerbread and honey aromas emerge.

The Taste
A rounded attack with notes of peach, fleshing out into the gingerbread, before unleashing a long finish punctuated by notes of candied citrus fruit.

Product Ingredients
White varietals (Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Folignan, Jurancon Blanc, Meslier St-Francois, Select, Montils or Semillon grapes)

Product History
Martell, the oldest of the great Cognac houses, was founded by Jean Martell in 1715 at the height of French Art de Vivre, when gastronomy, taste and craftsmanship were celebrated and enjoyed with style. These became the three pillars of the House of Martell and remain intrinsic to the Martell vision today. Since 1715, Martell has produced, exported and marketed cognacs which are recognized worldwide for their outstanding quality and finesse, obtained through double distillation of exclusively clear wines and aging in fine-grained oak barrels.
